Jagr Out, Kennedy In

Somethings never change.  Jaromir Jagr, and his people, continued the selfishness that has dogged the player since his emergence from Mario’s shadow.  Bringing additional suitors to the table so late in the affair was too much for Jagr’s first and most rewarding franchise.  The Pens reportedly have pulled their offer to the enigmatic winger.  Good riddance.  UPDATE: If I can stop laughing longing enough to type this…the Flyers have “won” the Jagr bidding.  If, presumably, their head-scratching moves in the last two weeks were made in part to open up cap money and clean up the locker room – then at least they had $$$ to sign the tempermental, all-eyes-on-me Russian. As for locker room cohesion…

In other news, T-K is back.  Two years, $4 million.  Done deal.  Good news.
