I wrote about this Friday night, and I was happy to see the NHL react quickly. Subban was fined for the dangerous Slew Foot on Kunitz. It was obvious, and clear and was not called that night. Subban was fined the max amount he could have been fined, per the CBA. A total of $2500 is the max amount a player can be fined for such an incident. I hope in the future that changes, but as a league, you take what you can get. Hardly a deterrent to stop individuals from doing dangerous things like this. What was good was how quickly they did react and fine Subban. For those that are wondering, all fines go towards the players emergency fund.
