Pens Face Flyers Today

March 22, 2012; Pittsburgh, PA, USA; Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury (29) makes a save against New Jersey Devils right wing Dainius Zubrus (8) as Penguins defender Kris Letang (58) moves in during the second period at the CONSOL Energy Center. The Flyers are 3 points behind the Pens in the division and conference standings not to mention they won the last game the 2 played each other the week prior on a fierce 3 period comeback.      This week, the Flyers will be playing the Pens without Ilya Bryzgalov for he is still recovering from an injury from Monday’s game so that said, the Pens will be facing Sergei Bobrovsky who is 4-2 and 1 against the Pens.      Add this to the overall feel, Bobrovsky has not lost to the Pens in Pittsburgh.

Marc-Andre Fleury is hoping to rebound from his last 2 outings against the Islanders.    Losing both games by a score of 5-3 and giving up what Fleury would  call some weaker goals is a driving force to come back against the Flyers for his team and his own mental state.      Not to mention, the Pens do not want to give up home ice advantage to the team they will more than likely face in the Playoffs first.

The Puck will drop today at 12:30 and can be seen on NBC.    It’s a Great Day For Hockey.     If you would like to follow me on twitter you can at Sports Monger or on Sports Monger Radio.
