Penguins Are In Boston Tonight

While Mike Milbury is backtracking from the ridiculous remarks he made the other night regarding Sidney Crosby, the Pens ready themselves for the Boston Bruins.     Somewhat of a surprise for tonight,  expect Brent Johnson to start for the Pens in net tonight while Turco will be in Net for the Bruins.

The lines will be what they have been for the last couple of games per Michelle Chrechiolo of the Penguins Report.

Sidney Crosby was asked to comment on Mike Milbury’s comments to a Philadelphia radio station.       And he showed the class you would expect from him.     This is what Sid Had to say today.

No, not really. I don’t have to get into that. I don’t know if he’s looking for attention or what. I don’t have much to say there. I really don’t know where that came from. You can really twist something a certain way and he’s shown he’s more than capable at doing that. He’s pretty good at twisting things around, that’s for sure.

As for tonight’s game, expect the Bruins to be ready for the Pens.      Chara and the rest of his teammates know how to make it hard on a team that is struggling and that is really where the Pens are  right now.    The Pens are 2-4 in their last 6 games and that is just not going to get it done.      The Defense needs to crack down on the open passing that takes place in the middle of the ice, and they need to not give up the open chances with the Blue line giveaways that have happening over and over recently.

The Pens offense right now is clicking and averaging 5 goals a game since the return of Sidney Crosby.     During that same time period, the Pens sport the top 4 scorers with Sid, Malkin, Neal, and Dupuis.   They are going to need to find that balance with offense and defense.     They are giving up 4 goals a game since Sid’s return and that is not going to do it.

The Puck drops tonight at 7:30pm.    If you would like to follow me on Twitter you can at Sports Monger and on Sports Monger Radio.
