Pens Ready For What Could Be Their Final Game Of The Season

This will be a new look Pittsburgh Penguins Team tonight as they Take on the Philly Flyers for the 4th game of the best of seven in which they are down 3 games to none.

Not only will the Penguins be without James Neal, Craig Adams, and Arron Asham but they will also be without defensemen Martin and  Michalek was not skating at practice today either.      But because the Pens are down another defensemen, they have called up Simon Despres and expect he and Ben Lovejoy to both get a start tonight.       Here is how the lines shook out at practice today.

Kunitz-Malkin-Kennedy
Sullivan-Crosby-Dupuis
Tangradi-Staal-Cooke
Jeffrey-Vitale-Park

Notice that Eric Tangradi is in the lineup, he is a Philadelphia Native and is happy to be playing in the playoffs in his hometown.     He may just end up being a nice addition because of his puck handling ability in his own end.     Also the additions of Despres and Lovejoy will also provide this team with a defensive jolt tonight.     Martin and Michalek have both struggled this series and for much of the season.      Michalek has played pretty good, but Paul Martin who took a really hard hit the other day which is the reason he is not in the lineup tonight has been suspect at best this season.     Despres is one of the best young players the Pens have, and he is a good skater.   He is definitely quicker than Martin so he could end up really helping this team tonight.

I am making no predictions for tonight’s game, but if the Pens are able to win tonight it will surely give them momentum to spring board off of.    This team should come out tonight ready to play, and ready to show a little pride.    IF they do get a win, expect Evgeni Malkin to be a Galvanizing Reason for this to happen.
