After calling up prized prospect Joseph Morrow yesterday, the Pittsburgh Penguins told him today he was returning to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.

What was thought to be Morrow’s NHL debut last night, turned into just an insurance move for the Pens, as Pittsburgh didn’t dress him.

So far this year, Morrow has 10 points (2G, 8A) in 39 contests with the WBS Pens.

It was also announced that the WBS Pens have signed forward Chris Collins to a professional tryout agreement (PTO).

When Collins, 28, was with the WBS Pens during the 2010-2011 season, he posted 34 points (13G, 21A) in 77 games. Since then, he has bounced around from leagues/teams.

Stay tuned for more Pens updates.
