Pens Activate Kris Letang Off IR

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced today that they have taken defenseman Kris Letang off of injured reserve, but he is still a game-time decision for tonight – according to Chris Adamski of NHL.com.

Although it is a possibility, it is still unclear as to whether or not the Norris candidate will end up dressing for tonight’s game.

Letang, who has missed the last three games with a lower-body injury, is still leading all NHL defenseman in points with 28 (3G, 25A) in 27 contests.

Earlier today Pittsburgh re-assigned defenseman Simon Despres to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to make room for Letang – per Adamski.

Pens got the Canadiens tonight in Pittsburgh at 7 p.m.
