Report: Pens Re-Assign Steve MacIntyre to AHL

The Pittsburgh Penguins and GM Ray Shero announced that they have re-assigned forward Steve MacIntyre to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the Pens’ website.

He will now join the Baby Pens, who currently hold a 1-0 series lead over the Binghamton Senators in the 2013 AHL playoffs.

MacIntyre only played in one game for Pittsburgh and recorded 12 penalty minutes – eight more than forward Brandon Sutter had all season.

The only thing left for Pittsburgh is to figure out what their starting lineup will be – assuming captain Sidney Crosby’s impending arrival.
