Congratulations go to the Pittsburgh Penguins regional telecast network ROOT SPORTS.

Having scored a 12.66 average household rating for Pittsburgh’s 2013 season, the Pens games now rank number-one under the average regional sports network ratings for any U.S. based MLB, NBA or NHL squad since 2002 – according to the Pens’ website.

In the NHL alone, the Pens have been the most watched team for the fourth consecutive year – and rightfully so.

With the season being shortened this year, it seemed more than likely the Pens games would be watched by many – considering the amount of seat-filler skaters they got.

Not to mention the season they had.
