The Pittsburgh Penguins have selected defenseman Ryan Segalla in the fourth-round (119th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Segalla, 18, finished his final season at Salisbury Prep in Connecticut by recording 18 points (10G, 8A) in 28 games.
He is the first defenseman drafted by the Pens at this years draft and he plans on attending the University of Connecticut for next season.
Standing at 6’2″ and weighing in at 194 pounds, Segalla figures to add a more physical side to the the Pens defensive core in the future.
