The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly re-signed forward Craig Adams to a two-year contract worth $1.4 million Friday.
The deal is going to earn him an average of $700,00 per year and is set to expire following the 2014-15 season.
Claimed off waivers in March of 2009 from the Chicago Blackhawks, Adams has been at the forefront of the Pens penalty kill.
Leading all Pittsburgh forwards with 2:39 minutes of ice-time on the PK during the regular-season, Adams surpassed that amount in the postseason with 3:39 minutes — which topped any other Pens skater.
Ranking second on the team for forwards with 37 blocked shots, number-27 finished third with 105 hits and first with one shorthanded goal during the regular-season.
In 364 total contests with the Pens, Adams has compiled 63 points (18G, 45A).
