Report: Pens Re-Sign Craig Adams To Two Years

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly re-signed forward Craig Adams to a two-year contract worth $1.4 million Friday – according to the Pens’ website.

Claimed off waivers in March of 2009 from the Chicago Blackhawks, Adams has been at the forefront of the Pens penalty kill.

Leading all Pittsburgh forwards with 2:39 minutes of ice-time on the PK during the regular-season, Adams surpassed that amount in the postseason with 3:39 minutes – which topped any other Pens skater.

Ranking second on the team for forwards with 37 blocked shots, number-27 finished third with 105 hits and first with one shorthanded goal during the regular-season.

In 364 total contests with the Pens, Adams has compiled 63 points (18G, 45A).
