Pens’ Announce Lineup For Thursday’s Game

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their lineup for their third preseason game against the Chicago Blackhawks, set to be played at the United Center – according to the team’s website.

Some of the skaters being used performed in Monday’s loss to Detroit — Sidney Crosby, Pascal Dupuis, Chris Kunitz, etc — but what’s interesting is that forward Beau Bennett will be playing without Evgeni Malkin or James Neal in the lineup.

This means Bennett will most likely play with center Brandon Sutter, and being that Jussi Jokinen is out of the lineup, it looks as though he’ll get his shot to play with Malkin and Neal in the next matchup.

Here’s the full lineup for Thursday’s game:

Forwards

  • Beau Bennett , RW
  • Sidney Crosby, C
  • Matt D’Agostini, RW
  • Dustin Jeffrey, LW
  • Chuck Kobasew, RW
  • Chris Kunitz, LW
  • Steve MacIntyre, LW
  • Jayson Megna, C
  • Adam Payerl, C
  • Zach Sill, C
  • Brandon Sutter, C
  • Joe Vitale, C

Defensemen

  • Robert Bortuzzo
  • Simon Despres
  • Deryk Engelland
  • Brendan Mikkelson
  • Matt Niskanen
  • Derrick Pouliot
  • Philip Samuelsson

Goaltenders

  • Tomas Vokoun
  • Jeff Zatkoff

Forward Matt D’Agostini will get his first game in as a Penguin’, after he was a late scratch Monday.

Thursday’s matchup will start at 8 p.m., and can be seen on the ROOT network. You can also find Penguins vs. Blackhawks tickets here if you’re looking to cheer on Pittsburgh at the United Center.
