Pens' Announce Wednesday's Lineup Against Detroit

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced their starting lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Detroit Red Wings, set to be played at Joe Louis Arena – according to the team’s website.

All the Pens’ stars will be suited up — minus defenseman Paul Martin — and Marc-Andre Fleury is most likely going to start, considering Jeff Zatkoff got the nod in Monday’s matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Their lineup will feature forwards Beau Bennett and Jussi Jokinen playing in the same game, and which line they’ll skate on could be a determining factor into where they’ll ultimately wind up for the start of the season.

Here’s a look at the lineup for Wednesday:

Forwards

  • Craig Adams, RW
  • Beau Bennett, RW
  • Sidney Crosby, C
  • Pascal Dupuis, RW
  • Tanner Glass, LW
  • Dustin Jeffrey, LW
  • Jussi Jokinen, LW
  • Chuck Kobasew, RW
  • Chris Kunitz, LW
  • Evgeni Malkin, C
  • James Neal, LW
  • Brandon Sutter, C

Defensemen

  • Robert Bortuzzo
  • Deryk Engelland
  • Kris Letang
  • Matt Niskanen
  • Brooks Orpik
  • Rob Scuderi

Goaltenders

  • Marc-Andre Fleury
  • Jeff Zatkoff

Pittsburgh looks to play a well-rounded game and should treat this as a regular-season matchup, considering this will be their final preseason action.

The contest is set to start at 7:30 p.m., and can be seen on the ROOT network.
