For the second week in a row, Pittsburgh Penguins’ captain Sidney Crosby was reportedly named as a part of the NHL’s ‘Three Stars,’ collecting the ‘Second Star’ for his performance this past week – according to the team’s website.

Crosby leads the entire NHL in points (17) and is averaging a point-per-game in the process, which contributed to him earning his second nomination in as many weeks.

Helping Pittsburgh get off to a 7-1-0 start to the season, Crosby registered eight points (2G, 6A) in three games, in which the Pens’ won all of those contests against the Edmonton Oilers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Vancouver Canucks.

Crosby also lead the league in assists (6) and points (8) for this past week.

Off to a otherworldly start to the 2013-14 campaign, Crosby should continue to rack up the ‘Stars’ as the season goes along.
