The Pittsburgh Penguins and general manager Ray Shero have reportedly placed forward Beau Bennett on injured reserve, retroactive to Oct. 12th - according to Pens’ beat reporter Rob Rossi’s twitter handle.
Bennett, 21, has been out since he left the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Oct. 12th, where he supposedly suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury.
He played a total of 6:05 minutes in that contest.
Bennett’s injury sort of flew under the radar with regards to the severity of it, but the ailment is troublesome enough to land him on the shelf for who knows how long.
The talented young winger has not practiced since he sustained the injury, and there’s not timetable for his return.
Bennett has two assists in five games, and is skating to a plus-1 rating.
