Pittsburgh Penguins’ injured forward Beau Bennett reportedly practice Thursday, but there’s still no timetable for his return, according to Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Bennett has not played since Oct. 12th, where he left the game after just 6:05 minutes of ice-time with an undisclosed lower-body injury.
Due to the peculiarity surrounding Bennett’s ailment, we don’t know exactly how severe it truly is, but it’s troublesome enough to keep him out of ten consecutive games after this weekend.
Since Bennett’s been absent, center Evgeni Malkin has had various wingers roll through his second-line. And although Bennett wasn’t necessarily a mainstay in the top-six, he still has experience playing alongside the Russian superstar, which bodes crucial towards Malkin’s productivity.
We’ll know more about Bennett’s status next week; however, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s out at least another week.
Meanwhile, Pittsburgh will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight without him at the CONSOL Energy Center.
The game can be seen on the ROOT network, and is set to start at 7 p.m.
