The Pittsburgh Penguins and general manager Ray Shero have reportedly sent forward Zach Sill down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the team’s website.

Sill, 25, played in one contest for Pittsburgh and failed to register a point.

Before he was called up, Sill performed in 13 games for WBS, and he recorded four points (1G, 3A) while skating to a plus-1 rating.

Since forward Brian Gibbons has played exceptionally well, Sill’s demotion was inevitable. It also may indicate that forward Chuck Kobasew is close to returning.
