Report: Pens Re-Assign Brian Gibbons To WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins and general manager Ray Shero have reportedly sent forward Brian Gibbons down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the team’s website.

Gibbons, 25, played in five games for Pittsburgh, and he recorded two points (1G, 1A).

Despite leaving WBS for a little bit, he still leads the team in scoring with 22 points (7G, 15A) and is tied with defenseman Simon Despres for best plus/minus (+13).

Gibbons ranks third in the AHL for scoring as well.
