Marc-Andre Fleury Came Close To His First NHL Goal

Pittsburgh Penguins’ goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury came oh-so close to scoring his first career NHL goal in last night’s victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

With 1:24 left in the third-period, Fleury cocked back his goalie-stick and flung the puck down the ice, only to have the biscuit miss the net by a couple of inches to the left.

Fleury veered off to the side to get a better angle at seeing the puck travel down the rink, and after it failed he went back to the net smirking at what could have been.

This isn’t the first-time he’s attempted a shot-on-goal, and it won’t be his last.
