The Pittsburgh Penguins reported via Twitter that defenseman Brooks Orpik has yet to begin concussion testing, while forward Tanner Glass and defenseman Rob Scuderi could begin practicing within the next three-to-five days.

Orpik has been out since last Saturday’s matchup, in which he left the game midway through the first period after being punched in the head twice by Bruins’ forward Shawn Thornton. There’s no timetable for his return.

Glass has been out since Nov. 23 with a broken hand and Scuderi has missed the last 21 games with a broken ankle.

Forward Evgeni Malkin reportedly skated this morning, after missing yesterday’s practice – according to the team’s Twitter handle.

Malkin didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice due to being given a maintenance day.

And there were no updates on forwards’ Beau Bennett (broken wrist), Andrew Ebbett (broken ankle), or defenseman Paul Martin (fractured tibia) – who all remain on long-term injured reserve.
