Report: Pens Re-Assign Samuelsson and Zolnierczyk to WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins and general manager Ray Shero have reportedly sent forward Harry Zolnierczyk and defenseman Philip Samuelsson down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the team’s website.

Zolnierczyk, 26, played in five games for Pittsburgh and he collected one goal while skating to a minus-1 rating. Samuelsson, 22, played in five contests as well, and he skated to a minus-1 rating.

The re-assignment of both players looks to be because forward Tanner Glass and defenseman Rob Scuderi will make their return to the ice following Christmas break.

Glass has been out since Nov. 23 with a broken hand, and Scuderi has missed the past 28 games with a broken ankle.
