Report: Pens Re-Assign Three Skaters to WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins and General Manager Ray Shero have reportedly sent defenseman Simon Despres and forwards Nick Drazenovic and Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the team’s website.

Despres, 22, appeared in 18 games for Pittsburgh and collected four assists. Drazenovic, 27, and Letourneau-Leblond, 28, both played one game and went scoreless.

The re-assignments may signify the return of injured defenseman Paul Martin and forwards Jayson Megna and James Neal.

Pittsburgh doesn’t play again till Monday, and we will probably hear more about their updates as the week progresses.
