Pens' Forward Taylor Pyatt to Miss Next Two Games

Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward Taylor Pyatt will reportedly miss the last two games before the Olympic break, due to a lower-body injury he suffered in last night’s tilt against Ottawa – according head coach Dan Bylsma and Sam Kasan of the team’s website.

Pyatt sustained the injury on his first shift of the game, which is apparent, given he only played 22-seconds last night. Knowing the month-long break is coming up, Pittsburgh probably doesn’t want to push him back into game-action.

Bylsma offered his take on Pyatt’s potential return date – per Kasan:

“We should have more information on him, probably returning to practice when we resume [practice] on the 19th.”

In 14 games for Pittsburgh this season, Pyatt has collected two goals and skated to a minus-7 rating.
