Pyatt, Vitale Set for Thursday; Connor a Week Away

Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward Taylor Pyatt and Joe Vitale are reportedly set to play in the team’s first game back from break on Thursday – according to Michelle Crechiolo of the Pens’ website and the team’s Twitter handle.

However, forward Chris Connor is still allegedly one week away from practicing and then sequentially easing back into game action – per Crechiolo and Pens’ Twitter.

Pyatt missed the last two games before break commenced due to a lower-body injury, and Vitale hasn’t played since Jan. 10 after suffering an upper-body ailment.

Connor has not suited up since Dec. 31 after having surgery to repair a broken hand.

Pyatt should, barring any lineup adjustments, be back on the third-line, and I’m anticipating Vitale returning to centering the fourth-line.

Pittsburgh’s got the Montreal Canadiens, Thursday. The game can be seen on the ROOT Network, and is set to start at 7 p.m.
