Conner was said to be a week from being re-inserted into the lineup last Tuesday – according to Michelle Crechiolo of the Pens’ website.
Originally given a timetable of 6-8 weeks for recovery following surgery to repair a broken hand, Conner has been out since Dec. 31, and missed the last 18 games.
In 19 contests this season, Conner’s garnered five points (4G, 1A) and skated to a minus-3 rating.
In other news, forward Chuck Kobasew, who was placed on waivers yesterday, cleared them today – according to Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
