Report: Pens Acquire Forward Marcel Goc from Florida

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly acquired forward Marcel Goc from the Florida Panthers – according to Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Goc, according to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN and TSN, was received in exchange for two draft picks.

However, both Rossi and Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review are skeptical that Pittsburgh could be setting another trade up.

Goc, 30, is listed as a center, and because Pittsburgh’s been heavily tied to Vancouver Canucks’ forward Ryan Kesler, both Rossi and Yohe may be on to something here.

In 62 games this season for Florida, Goc has collected 23 points (11G, 12A) and skated to a minus-7 rating – per hockeydb.com.

Stay tuned, this could get interesting.
