The move comes sequentially after releasing the unfortunate news that forward James Neal had suffered a concussion, and will be out indefinitely.
Megna last played with Pittsburgh back on Feb. 7, which was the final game the Pens’ had before the Olympics started.
While down with WBS, Megna has since played in 11 games, and recorded four points (2G, 2A) with a plus-1 rating.
In 24 games this season with Pittsburgh, Megna’s collected seven points (4G, 3A) and skated to a plus-2 rating.
