Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward Chris Kunitz will reportedly miss his second-straight game Sunday with a lower-body injury – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle.

Kunitz, who was scratched from Saturday’s matinee, is listed as day-to-day, and will now look to get back into Tuesday’s home game against the Dallas Stars.

The 34-year-old first-liner originally hurt himself during the Pens’ tilt against the Washington Capitals on Mar. 11, where he fell and banged his legs off the goalpost, however, was able to finish the outing seemingly unscathed.

Perhaps, because Kunitz skated the rest of the match, we assumed he was fine – that doesn’t seem to be the case though. Already without forward James Neal, due to a concussion, Pittsburgh can’t afford to lose anymore offensive firepower long-term.

Hopefully Kunitz is just feeling a little sore, and Tuesday he’ll be re-inserted.

Today’s game can be seen on NBC, and is set to start at 12:30 p.m.
