The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly sent forward Jayson Megna back down to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle.

Megna, whose gone up-and-down from the AHL to the NHL all season long, has been, in my opinion, a quality asset to the Pens’ scoring chances.

You hate to see a guy like this be re-assigned, however, it also may signify that forward Beau Bennett might be on the verge of returning.

We’ll have to wait and see.

Megna, in the 26 games, has collected eight points (5G, 3A) and skated to a plus-2 rating.
