Beau Bennett to Return Friday for Pittsburgh?

Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward Beau Bennett, whose three-game conditioning assignment ended last night, could return to the lineup for Friday’s game.

General manager Ray Shero, who was in attendance for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s tilt against Providence last night, reportedly gave Bennett a “glowing” evaluation – according to head coach Dan Bylsma and the Pens’ Twitter handle.

Although there’s no confirmation that Bennett will be re-inserted into Pittsburgh’s lineup for tomorrow’s contest against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the statement of, “His 3-game conditioning stint has expired,” signifies he’s ready to make an impact in the NHL.

We’ll see if the team decides on slotting him in the lineup for Friday, but if he isn’t, I’m confident he’ll at the very least be recalled at some point between now and Saturday.

In the three games Bennett’s performed in for WBS, he’s dished out one assist and registered four shots.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly called up Bennett from his conditioning assignment in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle.

It seems certain that now Bennett will be in Friday’s lineup for Pittsburgh. It will be his first game since Nov. 22.

In 12 games this season, Bennett’s collected three points (1G, 2A).
