Report: Pens Call Up Beau Bennett from WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly called up forward Beau Bennett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle.

Bennett played in three games for WBS, and he dished out one helper, while firing four shots.

Bennett will more than likely be in Pittsburgh’s lineup for Friday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, however, where he’ll slot is uncertain.

Before Bennett went down he was playing on the top-line, but due to the emergence of forward Lee Stempniak in that pairing, he may be on his way to the third-line.

We won’t know until Friday rolls around, but it’ll just be alleviating to see the goal-scoring winger out there competing. He’s missed 60 contests this season.

In 12 games this season, Bennett’s collected three points (1G, 2A).
