Report: Pens Call Up Forward Andrew Ebbett from WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly called up forward Andrew Ebbett from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle.

Ebbett, who was amidst an 11-game point streak down in WBS, will be seeking to play in his eighth game for Pittsburgh this season.

Ranking third on WBS in scoring with 37 points (12G, 25A) through 40 games, Ebbett’s just eight points shy of team-leader Tom Kostopoulos, who has played in 15 more contests.

The recalling of Ebbett may indicate somebody is injured, however, according to Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, it’s most likely due to upcoming consecutive tilts.

In seven games this season for Pittsburgh, Ebbett’s collected one assist and skated to a minus-1 rating.
