Report: Pens Call Up Forward Adam Payerl from WBS

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly called up forward Adam Payerl from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle.

Although there may be speculation as to somebody being injured, Josh Yohe of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review doesn’t think anyone’s ailing, and it’s rather a move to give the starters rest heading towards the playoffs.

Payerl has collected nine points (3G, 6A) in 38 games for WBS this season, and he’ll be seeking to make his NHL debut against the Colorado Avalanche, Sunday night.

The game can be seen on the ROOT Network, and is set to start at 8 p.m.
