Pittsburgh Penguins’ forward Brian Gibbons reportedly missed Wednesday’s practice, while forwards Chris Conner and Marcel Goc each were able to participate – according to Sam Kasan of the team’s website and the Pens’ Twitter handle.
Good morning from #Pens skate! The zamboni has cleaned the ice and our guys are getting ready to go. Both Goc and Conner are here for skate.

No Gibbons (undisclosed injury) at today’s morning skate. He skated the past 2 days #Pens -SK

Gibbons’ skated two days in-a-row, but his absence from Wednesday’s practice is a clear indication that he won’t suit up for the Pens’ Game 4 against Columbus. Gibbons’ injury is unknown, after leaving Game 2 with just 2:26-minutes played on the stat-sheet.
Conner and Goc have now been practicing consistently. Goc was first assumed not to play in the first-round – per Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review – however, should the series be lengthy, we could see him making an appearance. Conner – although probably close to full-health – will probably not play due to the current forward depth.
Pittsburgh will look to take a 3-1 lead in the series, Wednesday.
Game 4 can be seen on the NBC Sports Network, and is set to start at 7 p.m.
