Pens Injury Report 5/11: Orpik, Maatta Miss Morning Skate

Pittsburgh Penguins’ defensemen Brooks Orpik and Olli Maatta reportedly missed the team’s Sunday morning skate – according to the Pens’ Twitter handle – and are now both questionable for Game 6.

According to Rob Rossi of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Maatta was apparently excused from practice due to not feeling well. Although it seems as though nothing is seriously wrong with Maatta, his availability for Sunday’s Game 6 is unknown.

Deryk Engelland, who has not played a single minute in these playoffs, reportedly skated in Maatta’s place – per Rossi.

Orpik has yet to skate since leaving Game 4. Leaving after the first period, Orpik was diagnosed with a separate ailment from the one that cost him five games prior to Game 4.

We can most likely count Orpik out, and therefore, Robert Bortuzzo will receive another nod.

Game 6 can be seen on the NBC Sports Network, and is set to start at 7 p.m.
