Nick Drazenovic Re-Signs With The Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly re-signed forward Nick Drazenovic to a one-year, two-way deal worth $550,000 at the NHL level, according to the Pens’ website and Twitter.

Drazenovic, 27, played down in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton – Pittsburgh’s AHL affiliate – for the majority of the 2013-14 campaign, where he compiled 42 points (13G, 19A), which was second-best on the team.

Drazenovic dressed for Pittsburgh in just one game this past season, and did not record a point.

Drazenovic could see more time in a black and gold sweater this next season – due to how well he performed in WBS – but the fact he’s only suited up for 12 career NHL contests makes it hard to project.
