22. Boston Bruins
I’m not sure that anyone had a grasp on what was happening in Boston over the first few weeks of free agency. Though Don Sweeney was able to make a couple nice moves later in July, it’s going to be tough recovering from the loss of Dougie Hamilton.
There’s a lot of speculation that the Bruins and Cody Franson have talked in-depth about a deal that would make him a Bruin. If they’re able to pull it off, that would do wonders for this defensive corps. However, it won’t be enough to consider them a playoff contender for next season.
