19. Florida Panthers

The Panthers were a team right in the thick of things for a playoff bid but fell short when it counted most. They’re a young team with a lot of upside in years to come if they keep building around that youth.

This season, though, I look at them as a bubble playoff team yet again. Jaromir Jagr is an ageless wonder, but will that keep up for yet another full NHL season? I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see the Panthers sneak into the post-season fold, especially if Roberto Luongo can stay healthy and play as we know he can.
