9. New York Rangers

The Rangers were an absolute force last season, and made their second consecutive deep playoff run before sputtering out in the Conference Finals. While the team stayed mostly in tact, multiple teams in the Metropolitan Division improved by leaps and bounds this summer. Can the Rangers keep up?

Rick Nash is proving to be the elite goal-scorer that they envisioned him to be in New York, at least in the regular season. They should be quite potent once again if he continues his scoring ways, and with Lundqvist in goal there’s no telling how far they can go.
