Thoughts

Despite what was considered a down year last season, Crosby comes in at a 96 overall rating which is good for the highest in the game.

It’s also interesting to see the log jam at numbers five through eight. I firmly believe that Zetterberg is highly overrated in the video game world and isn’t deserving of a rating equal to the likes of Tavares, Malkin and Kopitar. Also, at this point in his career, does Datsyuk belong above those guys?

I’d prefer to see Malkin and Tavares bump up to a 93 overall while Datsyuk and Zetterberg drop to a 91. I’d also consider making Seguin a 92.

I will say though, it’s nice to see Stamkos get some love, as he’s often left out of talks regarding elite players.
