Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup Champions T-Shirt

The Pittsburgh Penguins are once again the Stanley Cup Champions! The have won their 4th Stanley Cup and their second in the last ten year. The penguins have certainly had their share of legendary players but this Penguins team brought home this Cup thanks in large part to outstanding defensive play by both the goalies and the defensemen.

Despite excellent play by the Sharks goalie all throughout the playoffs the Penguins were able to clinch the cup in game six because of great defense severely limiting the Sharks ability to get shots on goal. This culminated in the 3rd period of the final game when the penguins were able to maintain a precarious 1 goal lead by limiting the Sharks to just 2 shots on goal. The Sharks were forced to pull their goalie in the final 2 minutes allowing Pittsburgh to eventually tap in the championship-clinching goal with relative ease.
