16 days from now, the Pittsburgh Penguins will take the ice for their first preseason game on Sept. 19 against the Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center. No worries, though, the Pens will hit home ice the following day, Sept. 20, against the Detroit Red Wings.

Pittsburgh Penguins Daily:

Is Jagr a Mid-Season Option For the Penguins?

The 2017-18 season is right around the corner and Jaromir Jagr still hasn’t signed with an NHL team. There is some hope though for Jagr moving forward and it isn’t likely that he’ll be without a team all season. The veteran forward might be a solid option for the Pittsburgh Penguins as a mid-season sign. It wouldn’t be a bad idea to see Jagr throw on a Pens jersey again. [Fan Rag Sports]

Reaves Ready to Keep Dropping the Gloves

It isn’t a secret that Ryan Reaves is the perfect addition to add some grit and strength to the Penguins roster. The team is filled with stars and the organization is growing tired of letting their star players get beat up. Reaves will fill that hole and will be the perfect enforcer for the team. Now, Reaves will just have to find some opponents gutsy enough to drop the gloves with him. [Trib Live]

Cullen and the Stanley Cup Have a Day in Minnesota

Matt Cullen had his day with the Stanley Cup and brought it back to his hometown in Minnesota for the second year. Cullen and the Cup had a solid day together between family bonding, a children’s hospital, a baseball game and the local Dairy Queen. This memory with the Stanley Cup is sure to last Cullen a lifetime. [CBS Local Minnesota]
