The 27 year old left winger from Minnesota is definitely one of the more interesting players to watch on an Islanders team that continues to try and find their identity. While John Tavares entering the final year of his contract and possibly bolts for greener pastures is by all means the storyline to watch for the Islanders, Anders Lee remains the player to watch.
After a breakout season which saw Lee pot 34 goals in 81 games for the Islanders, the question now becomes whether Lee has cemented himself as not only one of the top forwards on the team, but within the division as well. With the Tavares dilemma hanging over the heads of the Islanders this year, Lee’s play could help tip the scales in favor of the Islanders or against it.
