The Pittsburgh Penguins are set to face their state rival Philadelphia Flyers tonight.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are coming off a devastating 4-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings and will now look to bounce back against the Flyers.

The Pens and Flyers sit just one point apart from each other for the last spot in the Metropolitan Division. This game will surely settle who will place seventh and who will place last for now, and we definitely don’t want that to be the Penguins.

But we will have to play at the top of our game tonight to truly get this team back on track. Here are the do’s and don’ts for tonight’s game.

Do: Take Advantage of Returning Players

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been missing quite a few players from their roster due to injury. Among these injured players include star defencemen Kris Letang and Justin Schultz.

According to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Letting and Schultz will be ready to play on Tuesday night against the Flyers.

This is great news, and we definitely have to take advantage of the fact that our two best blue-liners are back.

Don’t: Worry About the Standings

I know how crucial this game is. It basically sets the standings for both teams. If we lose, we’ll be last in the division. If we win, we’ll be just three points out of third in our division. It’s real close and this game can change it all.

But let’s not get distracted by these standings. I mean, yes, there’s a lot of pressure on this game, but the Penguins cannot crack because of this. If we play our game, we’ll be fine.

Do: Bail Out Our Goalie

This is just a simple thought. Our goalie’s have been bad lately and our best defence man are back this game. If the goalie needs help, let’s play very defensive tonight.
