With the Pittsburgh Penguins 6-5 overtime win against the Boston Bruins, they have found themselves back in a playoff spot.
The Pittsburgh Penguins managed to pull of a win against the Bruins on Sunday night. After going through a slump in the last month and falling out of a playoff spot, our main goal has been to get back in one.
Well now the climb officially starts. The Penguins find themselves in the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference. We’re nearing the halfway point of the season and there is still a lot of time left, but this position we’re looking at gives us a great deal of optimism.
Relief
After our shaky start this season with constant ups and downs, being back in a playoff spot definitely lets us breathe a sigh of relief.
Pittsburgh Penguins
There have been constant worries and lots of criticism about this team, but being in a playoff spot starts the upward climb. We can relax a little knowing the best is yet to come. We still have time and we’re in a good position.
Not Done Yet
We are not a wild card team however. We are much better than that. Far too often, the team’s in the wild card spot stay there until the end of the season. Not the Pittsburgh Penguins however.
We are the defending back-to-back Stanley Cup champions. We had a rocky start to this season but we’re picking up the pace now. The wild card spot may be where we are right now, but I am sure it’s not where we’ll end. We’ll keep climbing. The division is close and wide open for the taking. We can pull it together and be a top team.
