The Pittsburgh Penguins will be trying to avoid elimination tonight.

For the first time these playoffs the Pittsburgh Penguins are facing elimination. Heading into game 6 for their second round matchup against the Washington Capitals on Monday, the Penguins will be in desperation mode to hopefully live to see another day.

You have to think the Capitals are thirsting to win tonight. After the Crosby-era Penguins defeated the Ovechkin-era Capitals in every playoff series they met in, the Capitals have to be trying their best to finally close it out against us.

This will be one for the ages. Two franchise players in Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin playing at their very best against each other. The Penguins must win tonight simply put.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Our offence needs to come through. We need clutch scoring from our stars, especially Phil Kessel, who has yet to score his second goal of the playoffs.

We also need another dominant performance from Crosby or Jake Guentzel, who are helping lead the way for the Penguins in these playoffs.

We’re in for a great one tonight. Let’s just hope the Pens come out on top!
