The Pittsburgh Penguins got to the second round of the playoffs before their dreams were crushed.

The Pittsburgh Penguins may not have been able to go all the way this year, but we still put on quite the performance against both the Philadelphia Flyers and the Washington Capitals.

Out of our entire team in the playoffs however, certain players stuck out the most. One of these players is Jake Guentzel, who led the Penguins in goals and points during the playoffs. Jake Guentzel put on quite the show during these playoffs and today, we’re going to look at some of his best plays from the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Round 2, Game 4 Vs. Washington Capitals – A Great Shot

Game 4 started intense and both teams couldn’t find the back of the net in the first period. Guentzel finally opened scoring for the Penguins by putting in the puck from a hard angle on the side of the net, giving the Penguins a 1-0 lead.

Round 2, Game 3 Vs. Washington Capitals – The Toe Drag

Jake Guentzel isn’t just a goal-scorer, he’s also quite the pretty playmaker. In Game 3 of the Penguins series against the Capitals, Jake Guentzel did an amazing toe drag move around Dmitry Orlov to set up Sidney Corsby with the perfect one timer.

Round one, Game 6 Vs. Philadelphia Flyers – Completing the 4 goals

Jake Guentzel had already showed up in this game by scoring a hat trick to put the Penguins up 6-4 over the Flyers in a game where they could eliminate the enemy. Guentzel proceeded to follow up the hat trick with one more beauty of a goal. Off the fast break and forcing a two-on-one, Guentzel received a pretty pass from Patric Hornqvist and followed it up with the perfect tip in to the back of the net. An amazing finish to an amazing night.
