Not to sound like a broken record, but the Pittsburgh Penguins once again get the victory, and once again, they do it in dominating fashion.

After the first period, the Pittsburgh Penguins may have felt that they were going to be in for another close game against New York… they would have been wrong. The Pens would go on to win the game by a score of 7-2, and it is a guarantee that Lundqvist will be having nightmares after witnessing the talent that is the Penguins offense.

Not only were the Penguins scoring the puck, but they were spreading the love as well. Each goal was scored by a different player, and ten total players got at least a point in the contest. One thing that Mike Sullivan has preached in the past is not only getting opportunities, but making the most out of those opportunities. The Pens did that tonight.

They only had 25 shots on goal in the game, but were still able to score with ease, and continued a pattern that has been creating success over the past couple weeks. In order to have the kind of success the Penguins have been having, you need everyone to contribute, and that has been what the Pens have been receiving.

It also doesn’t hurt that Matt Murray once again put on a fabulous performance, saving 28 shots in route to only giving up two goals. Literally everything is going perfect for the Penguins right now, and it certainly showed as they steamrolled over the Rangers.

Now, this sets up a great matchup for Pittsburgh, as they will come home to take on the Jets on Friday night. Both teams have explosive offenses, and the Penguins will hope to get their 8th win in a row.
