Tomorrow Night will pin the Pittsburgh Penguins against their toughest opponent since this win streak began. But before we preview that game, let’s take a look at their first meeting this year.

When the Pittsburgh Penguins faced off against the Winnipeg Jets in late November, it had a different vibe around it. They had lost their last five out of seven games, and they were running into a very hot team with a very hot offense. What ensued was an incredibly exciting game that featured the Pens come from behind in the third to get a solid win on the road.

Fans would be surprised to hear that the key player in the game was none other than Derek Grant. Grant provided an assist and also scored the game tying goal in the third period, and he did all that in just nine minutes of ice time. In case you are keeping score, Grant did not appear in the last game for Pittsburgh.

This was also a game that was played where Bryan Rust had not yet been placed on the first line, that role was still with Dominik Simon at that time. It was a game that featured a short handed goal by the Jets, and also had Crosby struggling on faceoffs.

What we are trying to get at here is how exciting and interesting that game was, and the ability for this game tomorrow to be one of the best for the Penguins this season. The Penguins are on an unbelievable run right now, and it seems they have figured everything out. That will most certainly be tested against the Jets, who are currently first in the Central Division.

Now that you have some info on the last time they played, it will make this game tomorrow just that much more better. Will Crosby control the faceoffs? Will someone new emerge for the Penguins? We will find out tomorrow.
