A Look at the Penguins Winter Classic Jerseys Throughout the Years
Just how interesting were the Penguins Winter Classic Jerseys throughout the years?
The Penguins are no stranger to the Winter Classic. The Penguins have a record of 1-2 in the Winter Classic and actually participated in the first ever one at Orchard Park, NY against the Buffalo Sabres in 2008. The Penguins were victorious 2-1 in the shootout with a winner from none other than Sidney Crosby. The jerseys they have worn in all-three games, deserve a look.
The 2008 Winter Classic Jersey
As mentioned, the Penguins faced the Sabres and won in the first ever Winter Classic. They ended up wearing a really nice jersey and it deserves a look.
As you can see on the right, this was the jersey that the Penguins wore against the Sabres. It has a nice shade of blue in it and honestly should be a jersey that the Penguins bring back someday but i doubt that happens.
It was one of their best jerseys that they have ever worn and should bring it back.
The 2011 Winter Classic Jersey
In this Winter Classic, the Penguins hosted the Capitals at Heinz Field. And this is the game that everyone remembers that kept Crosby from having more points in his career because he got concussed in this game.
The jersey they wore in this game, might even be better than the 2009 one. Let's take a look at it.
These jerseys are absolute beauties and are one of my all-time favorites that the Penguins have ever worn. This one honestly should also be brought back by the Penguins.
The 2023 Winter Classic Jersey
This jersey is the most recent one that they wore against the Boston Bruins at Fenway Park. I like these the least of the three, but let's take a look at it.
On first glance, these do not look great, but they are pretty nice. If i went off my own personal opinion, i would rank these last of the three they've worn.
Out of all the jerseys they have won for Winter Classic's they are all nice and the people that designed them did a great job.
